Doktor na cestch Dont Josef (2025)

This Czech-language travel book by Professor Josef Dont, a renowned gynaecologist and founder of the Czech Menopause Society, draws on his participation in professional congresses around the world. He combines his journeys with observations of the history and present-day life of the countries he visits. The book is divided into three thematic sections: the ancient civilisations and current archaeological developments of China, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, Mexico and Guatemala; contemporary Africa, including personal reflections on humanitarian and medical aid in Uganda and Kenya and the causes of rising migration from sub-Saharan Africa to Europe; and a modern view of North America, focusing on Chicago, New York, New Orleans, Dallas and Houston, followed by the natural beauty of Australia along the southern coast of the Great Ocean Road. The book also touches briefly on Donts earlier publications, Africa by Chance and Other Adventures and Around the World on My Own at 55.
