Wake Sigurdardottir Yrsa (2026)

A group of young professionals travels to the Westman Islands off the coast of Iceland to attend an old friends wake. Their reunion soon turns into a living nightmare as memories of a university party they desperately tried to forget come rushing back. When two bodies are found on a rocky beach near the refurbished lighthouse keepers house where the group has been staying, medical examiner Idunn is sent to assist the local police. Having grown up on the island, Idunn is drawn back into the centre of her complicated family and the ghosts of her own past, which she would rather keep at bay. As deadly secrets become impossible to escape, can any of them get away unscathed? This chilling thriller from Icelandic crime writer Yrsa Sigurdardttir is set in an isolated location and is suited to fans of C. J. Tudor and Ragnar Jonasson.
