J a mj svt 1 – prvouka (pracovn uebnice) (2026)

This Czech-language first-grade science and social studies workbook introduces the world around young pupils through ten thematic explorations of their school and its surroundings, seen through the eyes of a little schoolgirl named ja. The lessons follow the curriculum framework and combine subject matter with practical use, clear diagrams, photographs, illustrations, interesting facts, cross-curricular links and educational games. Methodological instructions at the bottom of each page help with planning lessons, while recurring review sections offer entertaining games and puzzles. Photographic spreads in the Windows into Nature sections invite pupils to notice the beauty of the nature around them, and each page includes a star that can be coloured in as a reward. The workbook is also designed in an interactive form.
