Smoke and Scar (2026)

The first book in the epic Shattered Crown romantasy trilogy follows a conflict between humans and the magical races of Arcanis, who have been bitter enemies for centuries. Their only hope of reconciliation lies in the Arcane Crucible, a brutal series of trials that demands sacrifice for peace. After losing the love of her life in the deadly trials, Elyria Lightbreaker is no longer the strong fae warrior she once was. When her lost loves sister enters the same trials that claimed his life, Elyria must protect her from suffering the same fate. Desperate for vengeance, Cedric Thorne is also determined to win the trials for his family, his future and humanity. Hardened by loss and fuelled by hatred, Cedric and Elyria must work together to conquer the trials while navigating their increasingly complicated feelings for each other. This epic fantasy romance features a slow-burn romance, enemies to lovers, elemental magic, a hero who falls first, sharing a tent, found family and deadly trials.
