M svtky – CD

This CD compiles Hana Zagorovs Christmas hits recorded between 1975 and 2021. Few performers could celebrate the season of peace and tranquillity with the same humanity, sincere warmth and distinctive singing style. Alongside familiar themes such as Jingle Bells, a medley of Czech Christmas carols and Ave Maria, the collection includes songs written specifically for her, including Winter, Winter, Winter, Golden Little Fish, Make a Wish, Your Christmas Star, Ballad, Guardian Angel and Christmas as Before. The selection ranges from cheerful pop songs and folk melodies to chanson-like reflections, and is complemented in the packaging by tefan Margitas brief recollection of many Christmases spent together. It forms Hana Zagorovs timeless message to everyone who loves Christmas, including visitors to her traditional December concerts at Lucerna and anyone looking for familiar and less familiar songs to hear by the Christmas tree. The collection also includes My Childhood Christmas, a song whose lyrics Zagorov wrote herself, inviting listeners to return to the days when waiting for the bell to ring seemed endless.
