Tkrlov recitl – Praha 1987 – 2CD

This double CD contains a previously unreleased live recording of pianist Ivan Moravec at Pragues Rudolfinum, discovered in the Supraphon archive after 28 years and subjected to the masters exacting personal approval. Works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy display the qualities of his finest recordings: technical precision in every detail, carefully considered structure and rare inner vitality. The mastery of one of the great pianists of the 20th century is heightened by the unique atmosphere of a live concert. Following Ivan Moravecs death in July 2015, this recording remains his final message and testament to beauty.
