Svdectv o ivot v KLDR – CDmp3

This Czech-language MP3 audiobook presents seven interviews with refugees from North Korea, selected from several dozen conversations by Czech Koreanist Nina pitlnkov to portray different aspects of everyday life in one of the worlds most isolated countries. The respondents include a university student, a pensioner, a black-market trader and a feminist, who share their experiences, memories, feelings and fears with the empathetic interviewer. Their accounts reveal conditions that surpass even the wildest dystopian visions, made all the more horrifying by the fact that they describe the reality of the twenty-first century rather than fiction. The audiobook is narrated by Milena Steinmasslov, Gustav Haek, Vladimr Javorsk, Elika Zbrankov, Kristna Podzimkov, Alexej Pyko, Johanna Tesaov and Nina pitlnkov, with Nina pitlnkov also taking part as interviewer. The work received the 2021 Magnesia Litera award for journalism and has a running time of 5 hours and 55 minutes.
