Horizont – LP

After seven years since the release of Element and a subsequent concert hiatus, Imodium return with Horizont, their sixth studio album. The bands new line-up consists of Thom on vocals and guitar, Daniel Franc on guitars and vocals, Ronoon on bass and vocals, and experienced drummer Adam Jnok, formerly of Ready Kirken, The Atavists and Labe. Founding drummer Krl also appears on the single Lampy. Imodium marked their comeback with their biggest solo concert to date, held at Forum Karln in April as part of their twentieth-anniversary celebrations. Produced by frontman Thom Frde, the album took more than a year to record in the bands home studio I in Hradec Krlov. It contains ten rock songs with a modern sound, melodic lines, strong choruses, convincing vocals, and a distinctive guitar style. The tracks range from intense anger to relaxed moods, while retaining the bands constant energy. The music is a collective work by the band members; most lyrics are by Thom, with Luk Dvoek co-writing two songs, while Nkdo se dv and 60 minut were written by Adam Jnok. The album is released on a limited edition of 400 hand-numbered colour-in-colour vinyl copies.
