CD Michal Pavlek: Na obzoru

Na obzoru is Michal Pavleks new studio album and a clear expression of his musical roots, which he seeks to move towards new horizons. The songs are varied in colour, reflecting the essence of his perception of music. Alongside songs performed by Pavlek and guest vocalists David Koller, Monika Naeva, Bra Basikov, Phil Schoenfelt and Radek karohld, half of the album is devoted to his guitar playing, with the two worlds carefully balanced. The lyrics come from Jan Sahara Hedl and Phil Schoenfelt, while Pavlek also sets a poem by Jchym Topol and a text by Pavel Kol from one chapter of his book eka pod hladinou. The texts correspond to his feelings and view of the world, and one song is dedicated to a close friend who recently passed away. Pavlek describes the album as a kind of personal confession. The track listing includes Burning Up, A te u je to jednou jasn, Lep sedma, Fialov berle, Opice zla, Hatal, Foreign Lights, Laufainka, Na obzoru, Zem je vn and Slokapr, with guest appearances by Radek karohld, David Koller, Monika Naeva, Phil Schoenfelt and Bra Basikov.
