Lenka Fodorov Anna (2020)

This Czech-language novel is an intimate story full of unexpected twists and surprising revelations. Confidently written, it explores painful losses, love and family secrets, at times reading like a gripping psychological detective story. The author, who works as a psychotherapist, is the daughter of Lenka Reinerov (19162008), the last German-language Prague writer. With great empathy, she portrays the departure of a loved one while also telling the difficult story of a mother-and-daughter relationship and showing how parents experiences and traumas shape the lives of their children.
