Problm djinnho vdom Gadamer Hans-Georg (2019)

The central subject of these lectures is the emergence of historical consciousness in the humanities. Hans-Georg Gadamer traces its development through the works of Schleiermacher, Hegel, Droysen and Dilthey, placing particular emphasis on Heideggers hermeneutics of facticity. Against this background, he develops his own concept of hermeneutics. Delivered to a French audience shortly after the writing of Truth and Method, the lectures offer an incisive introduction to Gadamers principal work.
