This book offers a walk through Pardubice in approximately 800 historical postcards documenting the development of individual locations in the city from the 1870s to 1970. The Czech-language contents include views of streets and corners not only in the Old Town but also in the now-vanished Karloviny. They also show the busy Palackho Avenue, former industrial enterprises near the old railway station, the legendary Veselka Hotel, the old synagogue, places around todays Sukova Avenue that no longer exist, the excursion destination at Vinice, and a wartime quarantine hospital on the site of todays Dukla housing estate. The book also includes postcards depicting outlying parts of the city, including Svtkov, Rosice nad Labem, ern za Bory, and Star ivice.
