Vl tst Cognetti Paolo (2022)

After breaking up with his long-term partner, the unsuccessful writer Fausto leaves Milan and finds refuge in a mountain village. He unexpectedly gets a job as a cook in a small restaurant popular with mountaineers and run by the warm-hearted Babette, who herself fled the city years earlier and brought a little friendliness to the village. In this novel, Paolo Cognetti portrays the everyday lives of the local people, recording, alongside the changing seasons, the transformation of their desires and dreams.
