Vlada Machiavelli Niccol (2022)

Machiavelli’s The Prince permanently changed the way people think about the nature of politics, regardless of their perspective. This new Czech translation also includes several shorter texts translated into Czech for the first time, each directly related to the central treatise. Supported by accompanying texts and extensive commentary, the edition places these writings in the context of the author’s life and work, as well as the historical and political context of Europe at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, enabling a more comprehensive understanding of Machiavelli’s thought.
