Zakouzlen kola – Obrzkov ten ulc Petr (2018)

This picture-reading book in Czech is intended for inquisitive preschoolers and first-grade pupils. The three cheerful witches Todie, Bonie and Debie are not wicked witches who harm people. Quite the opposite: they never spoil any fun and are happy to help wherever needed. They are also rather muddle-headed, so when they start school as new teachers, it soon becomes clear that there will be no shortage of amusement. The book is designed for beginning readers, with large type and charming illustrations by Magdalena Takov. Some words in the text are replaced by pictures, which young readers name correctly to help their parents complete the stories while reading together. Suitable for children from the age of six.
