Basic Czech II Adamoviov Ana (2014)

A continuation of Basic Czech I, this Czech-language textbook follows a similar structure and consists of seven lessons based on communicative and comparative approaches. It gradually develops the foundations of Czech grammar through the fluent, systematic acquisition of vocabulary and conversational phrases related to topics including daily routines, shopping, celebrations, housing, family, health and illness, appearance and personality, fashion, and clothing. Clear tables help learners remember the material quickly, while English is used sparingly for concise explanations. The textbook includes a range of humorous dialogues, tables summarising Czech declension and verb valencies, and a CD containing the texts and dialogues from both Basic Czech I and Basic Czech II. It corresponds to level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This second edition has been completely reviewed and corrected based on teaching experience.
