The Year I Met You Ahernov Cecelia (2015)

This novel follows Jasmine through the year that changes her life. Losing her job feels like losing everything, and with her life previously built around her career and beloved sister Heather, her world suddenly becomes the house and garden she has hardly seen and the neighbours she has yet to meet. But being fired is only the beginning. Over the year that follows, Jasmine learns more about herself than she could imagine, and more about other people than she ever dreamed. Sometimes friendship is found in the most unexpected places.
