Ppad Aleny Struskov Eidler Petr (2021)

This Czech-language detective novel follows Alena Struskov, who was born immediately after the end of the Second World War. Her mother was imprisoned in the Terezn ghetto until its liberation and never told her daughter who her father was. After her mothers death, Alena begins an urgent search for her fathers identity, with certain clues pointing to Germany. One day, however, she disappears without a trace. On closer examination, the circumstances surrounding the inconspicuous womans sudden disappearance become increasingly suspicious, and those closest to her begin to fear the worst. The Jewish community therefore hires a private detective who has already proved himself several times in murder investigations to find her.
