Doomsday Morning Moore C. L. (2019)

Comus, the communications network and police force, has spread its web of power across an America paralyzed by the aftermath of limited nuclear war. In California, however, resistance is growing against the dictatorship of Comus and Andrew Raleigh, president for life. Raleigh is dying and Comuss power is weakening, making this the ideal moment for the Californian revolutionaries to activate the secret weapon that can destroy Americas totalitarian system and restore democracy. Comus also has resources at its disposal, above all Howard Rohan. Once a washed-up actor, Rohan is offered a second chance by Comus and sent to lead a troupe of players touring in the heart of rebel territory. Caught between the orders of Comus and the demands of the rebels, the double agent must decide which side to choose and whom he will betray: himself or the entire country.
