Turnus Howey Hugh (2025)

What came before life in the many-storey underground structures, the only places on Earth where people can survive? The post-apocalyptic novel Silo left readers wondering how it all began, and Shift, the second part of the cult trilogy, provides the answer. Young congressman Donald Keene works on a secret project: enormous residential silos sunk into the ground, intended merely as insurance against an unimaginable catastrophe. But surely there is no such threat. Many years later, a hibernating man is awakened in Silo 1, and he begins to remember the past: a terrifying story of an obsession with power and the relentless determination with which people are willing to destroy the world as we know it. Unrest is growing in Silo 18, while Silo 17 has fallen silent.
