She understands that beginning a life together with the young Vclav will not be easy. They are separated by a considerable difference in age, while Vclav must accompany his father on his journeys, leaving Johana alone and exposed to the dangers of the imperial court in Prague and the hostility of Vclavs stepmother, Empress Albta. When Vclavs father dies and he suddenly finds himself at the head of not only the Kingdom of Bohemia but also the Holy Roman Empire, Johana becomes Roman queen at his side. Will they both withstand the demanding task that awaits them?
