Josef Klma – Tv v tv zloinu Likov Karolna (2025)

In this open and candid memoir, Josef Klma, a legend of Czech investigative journalism, writing, and screenwriting, looks back on the most difficult cases, the most moving stories, and his lifes journey. After 56 years as a field reporter, he has faced hundreds of criminals and witnessed thousands of troubled lives, fates, and turning points, with every story leaving its mark. Who did he truly help, what affected him, and which case was the darkest? Does the perfect crime exist, what is the soul of a murderer like, and is evil in our genes? What happens where the cameras do not reach, who warned him about the criminal underworld, and who was his most famous informant? What did Karel Kop, the mastermind of the Orlk gang, once reveal to him, and what did the widow of mafioso Bla hint at? What are gangsters afraid of, would he have a beer with Kajnek, what does the Czech underworld look like today, and are the wild 1990s really returning? Why is his date of birth shrouded in mystery, what did a stay in a Buddhist monastery give him, how many times did he balance between life and death, and when did someone up there give him one more second? The book is in Czech.
